There is a TV show in Germany where teenagers are being sent to the toughest places around the world to learn respect when they are not behaving. I don´t suppose that my behaviour was so bad that I am now sent to such a place. Africa is known for its beautiful landscape, luxurious Safarilodges and its breathtaking beaches. Well, doesn´t it sound boring? How does lonely huts, self-supply without water and electricity and a shower that you share with hippos and crocodiles sound like? With matchig music this could be the announcement oft he new TV experiment: let us send 4 teenagers in the bush and see what happens. But this is not an experiment of any kind. This is our volunteer work. The touristlodge in a National Park has now turned out to be a little hut in the middle of nowhere. But people who know me realize, that I am flexible and ready for adventures. Wami Mbiki was meant to be a park for hunting. But because the government did not give permission to do so, Wami Mbiki is now only a park. This could change if Wami Mbiki could develop into a national park. For this people have to know what kind of animals are living and crossing that area. This will be the task of 3 guys and me. Tomorrow we will go to Wami Mbiki for 10 days and we will be living in those huts without water and electricity. We will have to buy a full survival-kit of food, toilet paper and candles today so that we can start the adventure. Nobody knows for how long we will keep it up or whether we will continue the project after that time. For sure it will be a once-in-your-lifetime-experience. In some ways it is like camping… but not as we know it!
